We would like to uplift and acknowledge all of our youth as we are extremely proud of them.

We would like to single out the accomplishments of two of our youth in this feature.

	Eddie Whitley Jr decides to attend Va Tech University 

Eddie Whitley Jr, son of Eddie and JoAnn Whitley committed to play football at Va Tech University on a July 23rd announcement

made on ESPNU. Eddie's final choices were Va Tech and North Carolina State University. Ultimately, Eddie felt the stability 

of the football program and the academic achievements of the program were deciding factors in choosing Va Tech. He'll 

begin playing in the fall 2008 season. Well family, let's get ready to travel to Blacksburg, Va to support Eddie!!! Congrats 

and Good Luck!!!  

				Chrissy-Ann Carpenter wins the 2007 North Carolina Jr. Pre-teen Pageant

Chrissy-Ann Carpenter, daughter of Jerry and Crystal Carpenter won the 2007 Jr. Pre-teen Miss America Pageant on the 

weekend of July 27-29. In November, she will represent the state of North Carolina at the Nationals in

Los Angeles, California. We are very proud of Chrissy and wish her good luck in November!!!!
